Fight2Win #90 is a wrap from Philly!
Last Friday night, 2 Philly locals got a shot at 2 vets of the sports with Dylan Royce and Kristian Woodmanse getting their shot in the main and co-main events. Respectively taking on JT Torres and Baret Yoshida with F2W titles in the balance, the locals gave it their all but fell to the longtime superstars by submission.
Elsewhere on the card we saw United’s Nick Calvanese score 2 wins in the same night, first defeating Ed Sheridan by kimura before dropping down to a knee and proposing to his girlfriend (now fiancée) Maria Boggi right in the middle of the F2W mats! Congratulations to Nick and Maria on their engagement. We heard it was a longtime coming!
As for other impressive performances, they were all over the card but a few that stood out included John Battle’s domination of Dennis Pressey Jr. to retain his featherweight nogi title at brown belt. Kyle Myers also looked impressive at brown with his arm-in guillotine over Jake Skelly While Jon Rivello held it down for the purples with his flying armbar win over Rich Saenz.
