What a wild night in the East Bay!
Fight 2 Win 94 concluded at the Craneway Pavilion with a stacked card delivering on the promise of a great night of action.
Starting at the top of the card, Yuri Simões and Tim Spriggs went about as aggressively as could be expected with both guys not giving up an inch in the takedown battle. Tim even went off the stage as the two scrambled close to the edge at one point. One could say it could have been anybody’s ballgame at the end with the judges ruling it in favor of Yuri to score him the main event victory.
In the co-main event of the evening, Rafael Formiga Barbosa became the new F2W Masters Welterweight GI Champion with his decision victory over defending champ Romulo Melo. Though the latter had his moments, Formiga was too strong to overcome as he dictated the majority of the match, catching some beautiful sweeps in the process.
The action continued on down in this one from top to bottom.
The next match saw Ron Keslar get the judges’ nod after an absolute war with Rhalan Gracie. The two were all over the place vying for the takedown. Halfway through the match, Rhalan went flying off the stage but came back to be the aggressor late as the two traded footlocks at time ran out. Some thought Keslar tapped but he ended up getting the win instead.
Other noteworthy matches included Matthew Todd and Dom Haskins’ close battle, Daniel Ripper’s performance against a larger Billy Ray Chubbs, Nikki Sullivan’s beautiful wristlock win over Tracy Pham, and so much more.
