Hustle And Heart Will Set Her Apart: Rachel Beach Ready For Fight 2 Win 103

Training out of Renzo Gracie Houston in Sugarland, TX, Rachel Beach will be taking on Leslie McLea of Elite MMA in a 142 lbs. brown belt gi match at Fight 2 Win 103.

With 2 F2W appearances already under her belt, Rachel is no stranger to the stage or sub-focused format. She’s also no stranger to challenging herself and that’s what she will be doing this time as she takes on a larger opponent with some accolades under her own belt.

For Rachel, it’s the type of challenge that calls to her, and she’s prepared to give it her best.

Read on and learn more about Rachel Beach prior to F2W 103 on Friday night.

Rachel, tell us a little bit about your training and history.

I began jiu jitsu as a form of treatment for the anxiety I suffered in childhood well into adulthood. 3 months into training I completed for the first time and never stopped! My training consists of weights and swimming in addition to BJJ/Judo.

How often are you in the gym? Any other hobbies?

My time in the gym is typically Monday through Sunday but if I take time off the mats it’s for outdoor activities.

How has jiu jitsu impacted your life?

As I said earlier, it has helped me with my anxiety.  Jiu jitsu has been a great tool in helping me shift my focus from my worry to technique. It’s changed my life in so many ways and has given me such great friendships!

Why do you like to compete?

I complete because love the challenge and it helps me grow as a practitioner in developing my skill though live application.

You’re a Fight 2 Win vet. What’s the experience like for you?

Yes, this will be my 3rd. It excites me and I love showing my heart in the art!

What should the fans expect from you?

My friends and fans can expect explosiveness and a pressure game.

How are you preparing for your opponent? Anything specific?

I have been training with heavier training partners to help me with the weight advantage my opponent will have.

Any prediction on how this match will go?

I expect to give it my all and attack the entire time!

Do you have any message for your fans/coaches/sponsors/etc.?

Just a huge thank you to my teammates who took the time outside of classes to train extra so that I can be confident in my game! Much love to my fans and a huge thanks you to my sponsors: Ancient nutrition, YoloBjj, Iron jaw custom mouthguards, Genco Pura and Emmanuel Salon!

Get ready to see a lot of heart tomorrow night!
