Describe who you are for those who don’t know you or your accomplishments.
My name is Manuel Ribamar. I’m a black belt from Rodrigo Pinheiro ,Ns brotherhood. I’m from Brazil , Amazon Manaus the jungle. I’m a world champion as Brown belt multiple times Ibjjf internacional Open champion and in the black belt current number 3# in the world of the best middleweights.
Who do you credit for shaping your jiujitsu?
Due to moving, I have had the privilege to train under a few instructors. I would like to think that I was able to learn many valuable techniques/submissions from all of them. Brandon Quick helped me early on as a white belt, and Jerry Gonzales & Tony Trammell as a blue/purple.
How excited are you for this weekend?
I am really excited to be back home doing this event. Being able to share the stage with my friends I’ve been competing alongside me for years is a great experience. Also competing alongside several world champions on the main card is an honor.
What do you think of your opponent, DJ Jackson?
I’m very excited to fight DJ because is kind of a match that is never is boring to watch. He brings the fire. 🔥 I try to do the same, always with new tricks.
If you had to pick – win with the most boring fight in F2W history or lose with FOTN honors in the most exciting match ever – which would you choose?
I rather win with the most excited fight 😂 but for sure I choose to win to keep my mindset I prefer just to win. I predict that will be a great match. I can’t see nothing but the gold. Losing happens but after a loss I’ll comeback always stronger and experienced.
